Ford Camper Headlight Restoration Video
We restored the headlights on the Ford Freda because otherwise they may be an MOT fail, and it is always useful to be able to see where you are going in the dark.
There had already been an effort to fix the headlights with a Dremel, and although the internet is full of these kinds of home remedies, they are often much harder than they look and may cause damage. This is especially the case for solutions which involve spraying on chemicals. Honestly, if it were that easy, we would be doing it, but we don't.
Instead, we sand and polish them, removing dead plastic, and when we have created a glass-like finish, we put on a protective coating to keep them looking new for years to come.
