Del's Jaguar X-Type Video

Del brought his Jaguar to us to give it a tidy-up. We cleaned the leather upholstery and polished the paintwork.

We live in a disposable world where we expect things to wear out, get thrown away and replaced, but some cars are classics even when they are new.  Some cars have a cult following, or perhaps love your car.  It doesn't have to be a vintage Aston-Martin for you to decide you want to keep it. If well maintained, a quality built car can be kept in excellent condition with minimal work. The areas that show wear such as the paintwork and upholstery can be restored.

This car has some excessive wear on the leather seat bolster, so much so that it is best to have the trimmer replace the panel. They will remove the leather seat cover, unstitch the panel and then using that as a template, they can repair the seat by sewing in the new. The seat then needs to be recoloured. Recolouring leather in this way is something we have done a lot of over the years, and we get lots of customers bringing cars to us, wishing to have the whole interior Connollised. But as you can see from this car, it is amazing what a good leather cleaner and conditioner can do. 

With the exterior already in good condition, it just needs a buff with a rotary polisher and a wax or sealant to protect the paintwork.
