Accident Clean-up Question from Hannah Fletcher

Submitted on 24/09/2009

We have a 08 model. Black pearlescent colour. we have recently had our house painted and the decorator has sprayed fine spray of cream exterior house paint on the car .It is all over the bonnet and up the side of the car. i have tried using a sponge and washing up liquid but i dont want to scratch the car body work paint. what can you suggest ? Model: Nissan Qashqui

That sounds like quite a difficult job even for an expert.

Exterior paint is very difficult to remove as its been designed to stay on in all weathers.

Some also contains grit so you have to be very careful.

Also there maybe a different method for different surfaces.

If it has not completely dried, then call us straight way and will will do it as an emergency. If it has dried then i think you should call your insurance company or indeed the decorators as i think it would turn out to be a big job. The insurance company's do use us for this kind of thing.

If you can get us some pictures, we maybe able to help you more.
