Accident Clean-up Question from Kris
Submitted on 04/11/2009
I'm thinking about buying this 2006 wrx. But, it has flood damage done to it (that's the only given information because the auction does not know how deep, what kind of water, etc.). Right now, there are no bids on it and i wont be spending more then $2,000usd. DO you think it is worth it? it has a estimate of $5,600usd to fix it. Do you think that's about right? Heres the link. Thanks! http://www.copart.com/c2/specialSearch.html?_eventId=getLot&execution=e3s3&lotId=18671679 Model: 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX
I followed the link and it just went to the home page.
But that doesn't matter, i wasn't going to find whats under the carpets and whether the seat belt reals got wet or not..
Try having a read of this article.
Also do your home work. What is the car going to be worth when its done?
What is a perfect one worth, because i think when your is all done properly, its likely to be worth about two thirds that, and remember thats the price a few months down the line when all the parts you need have arrived and you have completely finished the car and driven it around to test it. Here in the UK you sometimes (depending om what category it is) have to take it to an inspection centre to show and prove you have done it properly.
Try getting us some pictures if you want, if you do the car, we could possibly help.
