Paint Sealants Question from Erez Lilienthal

Submitted on 04/06/2010

Just ordered this car. Was intending for you to apply protection on purchase day. Am a bit confused though (old age, alzheimers?), this car has a matte paint so I obviously don't want it to shine... What can or should be done re protection? As you did my last two cars ( normal paint..), I hope you have a plan? Model: Smart fortwo urbanstyle

You had me rather stumped regarding the matte paintwork... It's not unknown but usually it's not paint, the cars are wrapped in plastic with a matte finish. We called Jewelultra and they said no problem, mat cars are ok to do. we will try a small area inside a door-shut so that we can see the finish just to be sure of the actual finish. And yes all the guarantees apply, ie protecting the paint from the elements.
