Dent Removal Question from Trevor Leedham
Submitted on 04/10/2010
I have a small stone chip/dent in the bonnet. It seems to have chipped the paint as well as dented the panel. The car is metallic silver in colour. What would you recommend? Model: Ford Focus 57 plate
If its a very tiny dent, then I would just touch it up. When picking the colour, go for a lighter silver than your car is, as when you touch it in, it will dry darker. Then do it again in a week. Don't try to fill the dent if its bigger that about 8mm and don't try to fill it in one go. If you do it and your not happy with the result, don't worry it can easily be removed even in a years time, at least it won't go rusty.
You may want to read this article as it tells you how to do it.
If the dent is a little bigger, then I would need a few pictures.
