Dent Removal Question from Alex Winship

Submitted on 02/01/2011

Hi, Have a dent with cracked paint on front passenger door from someone else's car hitting it sliding in snow. Also have small round dent on roof / side panel. Please can you let me know individual price to repair both dents? Regards, Alex, from Berkhamsted, Herts (HP4) Model: Seat Leon SX TDI 2004, metallic silver

The dent on the roof is still a little bit too difficult for painless dent is just a little too close to the edge where it gets a little bit to creased if that makes sense. However it is not a very expensive area to get re-repaired and re-sprayed. And I'm afraid the damage on the door means you will have to go to a bodyshop anyway.

However it is not all bad news, I suspect that a good bodyshop will be able to repair both without the need for replacing panels or parts (they may need to replace that plastic strip on the door which aren't expensive). Have a read of this page, then go through the links to Kraftwork's website. You can call them with your question number if you want? Or I would suggest that you go and see them. They may be able to save you claiming on your insurance. They are very good and represent extremely good value for money which is why we use them a lot.
