Accident Clean-up Question from Kate Kat
Submitted on 29/10/2011
Hi, just spilled a 500ml bottle of coke in the driver's side footweel. WIll those street valeting services be able to clean it for me? Do they know how to do things like that - no offence intended, just thought it might need to be steam cleaned or something, maybe specialist cleaner. Many thanks, Kate, Harrow London Model: NISSAN QASHQAI
It needs to be extracted, then shampooed. If they have a wet vac machine, then Coke doesn't normally cause a problem with bad smells. If you can borrow a vacuum cleaner that picks up water, then you may want to have a go your self. You will need a bucket of hot water, a scrubbing brush and some carpet cleaner. Something like 1001 carpet cleaner. First suck as much as you can out, then give it a good scrub, then suck it again. Repeat if nessasary. Lastly you may want to give it a good rub with a bath towel.
