Accident Clean-up Question from Chris Spencer
Submitted on 16/09/2008
I had a paint spill in the boot, with a water based paint. It is now dry. Is there anything you can do? Model: Renault Clio 182
Yes we can. Please see this article -- this paint was dry when we removed it.
What remains to be see is what are the most ecconomical ways to do it. It is often better to replace some parts than to clean them... and some plastic parts may be etched or stained, even with water based emulsion.
At a guess... you may find that the best route to go is to replace the boot carpet and have us remove any excess paint on the backs of seats and plastic panels etc. But I'd like to see some photos, then I can advise.
