Accident Clean-up Question from Darren Griffiths
Submitted on 11/07/2012
My car is leaking heavily during rainstorms - saturating the ceiling fabric in the top passenger side corner and also flowing in the roof cavity and dripping through central alarm sensor. Garage adjusted the door seal during service but hasn't helped. Sunroof was also looked at but no problem spotted. Saturated ceiling drips on to passenger seat. I have also had a lot of problems with condensation on the windscreen when no other cars in the area have it! I am in Swindon. Model: Nissan Primera
It could be your windscreen or it sounds like the water isn't getting a way down the drain channels from the sunroof. If you open the roof and look in the front corners, you will see a small drain hole. Pour water down these and see if the water runs away. Try both sides. If it doesn't, then it may need unblocking. Sometimes they can be perished or have come off. You can sometimes poke something down them. Try a trombone cleaner?. If its not that, then try getting inside while a Friend puts a hose pipe on it.
