Is there a 1-year ceramic coating?
Quick answer: Yes -- some retail products are marketed as 1-year ceramic coatings, but they are essentially light-duty sealants. We don't offer a 1-year base coat; our professional coatings are designed to last years with proper care.
There are 1-year ceramic coatings on the market, but none of them are professional systems.
The coatings professionals use sit in the same broad category, graphene and diamond coatings included. They are semi-permanent and last a minimum of three years -- and in our experience, a three-year coating will usually outlive its quoted durability.
The 1-year products are ceramic waxes -- essentially car wax with ceramic in it. They last longer than a traditional wax, but they don't match a professional coating for longevity or protection. The same goes for retail graphene products: expect 9-12 months of shine and a good hydrophobic effect, but no hardening and no bond to the paintwork.
