Accident Clean-up Question from Mark Hill

Submitted on 13/09/2010

Hello. I have been unlucky because i live next to a building site and i have several splashes of concrete over most of the panels on my car there is only 1 panel which it has no go onto and that is the rear o/s door. the concrete has dried and i have tried to remove it but it just scratches the paintwork. can this be done with a cosmetic repair or will the car have to be resprayed completely. Model: Ford Mondeo

Hi Mark

I believe we spoke earlier today.

We have had many a car here before with concrete (industrial fallout) on the external paintwork.

We have been succesfull every time in removing the problem from the car.

I would suggest trying not to remove the concrete form the exterior. As you have found out this can scratch the paintwork quite easily.

It's a case of diminishing returns. The 80-20 rule says that to do the first 80% takes 20% effort, but the final 20% takes 80% effort.

I would have thought that a respray is not nessasary, the concrete fallout can be removed through our accident clean up service.
