Here are five good reasons why people want to make their cars like new again.
Restorative Detailing
Typically, people come in with cars they've either just bought or had for a few years, and they want us to take a view on it -- have a look around and advise on what we can do. Sometimes it's a scuff on a bumper, or the paintwork needs buffing. People also like the idea of protecting their car if they're planning to keep it.
Ceramic Coatings and Paint Protection
We work on brand new cars and older ones alike -- if you look at our website you'll see plenty of examples. The ceramic coating and nano-coating technology now is brilliant. We've been doing coatings for years, but the latest products are genuinely impressive. We can put coatings on the paintwork that actually self-clean -- you still need to wash the car occasionally, but it really does make a difference. We also coat wheels, leather, glass, and of course the paintwork itself. It's becoming more and more popular, and it's easy to see why.
Water Leak Detection
This is something we've done for many years and we're very good at it. If you've got water in the footwell or the boot -- those are the main places -- it can be a real nightmare. It smells, it steams up the windows, and there are electronic problems that can come with it. We find the leaks and fix most of them ourselves. Occasionally we need a specialist to reseal a windscreen or similar, and we have good companies we can call on for that. We're kitted out with drying equipment, smoke machines, diagnostic cameras, and powerful blowers.
Decontamination
Cars accumulate all sorts of things over the years -- concrete and cement on the outside, overspray from people painting fences. Inside it might be smoke smells from a previous owner, dog smells, or spillages of every kind. We've seen it all and we're good at treating it.
Pre-Lease Return Inspections
Cars need to be checked before they go back to lease companies. Some people think they know their car's condition, but they're often surprised. Some things are worth repairing before the return, and some things genuinely aren't -- wheel refurbishment is a common example where we often advise against it. The best approach is to check the car over first, then call your lease company, and decide from there -- rather than hand it back and get a bill for something you didn't even know was there. We have a clear process for this; just give us a call and we'll take you through it.
Smart Repair
We run a full range of smart repair services -- dent removal, scuffs, and more. These work very well alongside lease returns and general restoration work. We also have a great relationship with a local body shop, so if something looks like it's beyond smart repair territory, we can take a look and advise on the best solution.
We're based in the middle of Chelmsford. You can find our address on the site -- or just give us a call and we'll have a look at your car.
