Dent Removal Question from Richard Meech
Submitted on 08/01/2011
I have a small dent in the offside rear door cause by a door opening from another car. I'm told that Citroen doors are double skinned and cannot be pushed out from the inside; but must be 'glued and pulled'. I don't know if this is true. Can you help? Model: Citroen Grand C4 Picasso
It can depend on where the dent is on the panel. I called Helix Citroen who we know very well. They said that they have their dent man in regularly. He hasn't said there's a problem. Sometimes they have to drill a hole which is then repaired. We know this to be normal.
All car have areas where th panels are double skinned and sometimes the problem is overcome-able and sometimes its not.
Have a look at this page which hopefully explains how the panels look.
Glue gun dent removal can sometimes help, but the gun is not normally the total solution.
If you want us to have a look at it, then give us a call.
