Modern Car Restoration Question from Tom Newman

Submitted on 24/08/2012

My best man decided to prank my car by placing a fish under each of the front seats, he did this on the hotest day of the year and I didn't discover it till the morning. The fish oil has obviously seeped into the carpet. Help? Model: Clio

Tom

Very funny at the beginning, but not when the jokes over. My advice is to give him the problem. He may need to take the seats out to get to the source and remove it. And then it will be quite a hard job to remove the smell from all the contaminated surfaces. Show him this page where he will get a very good idea of whats involved. If you wanted us to take car of it, then if its as bad as i think it will be then we may need to do option six. Plus maybe a couple of hour labour to remove and refit the seats etc.
