Accident Clean-up Question from Simon
Submitted on 13/11/2008
Hi Read your interesting article on flood damaged cars. Considering buying a flood damaged Aston Martin as a long term project to keep. It has been in an underground garage, flooded up to and including the dashboard with storm water, about 6 months ago. Obviously it is a non runner, and will need a complete strip I can cope with the mechanics and electrics etc OK, but am concerned about the interior. It is obviously more"bespoke" than a ford focus! Would like to salvage as much as possible. What other damage is likely and are there any longer term issues from bacteria etc to consider?? Thanks Model: 1997 Aston Martin V8 coupe
