Can you polish glass?
Quick answer: You can polish automotive glass to improve light scratches, wiper marks and water spots using specialist compounds and machines, but deep scratches and chips cannot be safely polished out and usually mean the glass needs replacing, so heavy correction is best left to a professional.
There are glass polishes, but much like 'furniture polish', these are not polishes in the same sense as we use in regard to polishes for car paintwork. These products are cleaners which contain chemicals such as ammonia, which can remove contaminants chemically.
Glass polish can do a very good job of cleaning your glass, but it won't polish out scratches on glass.
