What do lease car recharges typically cost?

There probably isn't such a thing as a 'typical' because it all depends on the car, the condition of your car, how lucky or unlucky you got and a whole host of factors which are hard to predict.

However, because there is a threshold, once you go over, you get charged with everything they find. So it will typically be over £200.  From there, if you are being charged for a scuff here and a dent there, it will add up at £50-£75 a time.

A missing spare key, a hole in the carpet, or a crack in the bumper, and you could add hundreds of pounds to the bill.  Although these items are typically expensive, it still depends on from car to car. For example, the charge for replacing a missing key for a Kia Picanto may not be as expensive as a missing key for a Maserati Quattroporte.

Unsurprisingly, we see very little of this because our customers come to us to have their lease cars prepared for return, so they pay less and are generally not hit with any surprises.
