How often should I clean my soft-top?

Quick answer: Clean your soft-top at least every few weeks—or simply whenever it looks dirty. Don’t let it go green. Modern automatic car washes are fine if gentle. Most important is upkeep: keep the weatherproof coating topped up (most last ~6 months). With our 2-year coating, still give it a thorough clean a couple of times a year.

You should clean your soft top roof at least every few weeks, and preferably as often as it gets dirty.

It is best to keep up with maintenance and not let it go green or let it look grubby.  You don't have to get out a brush and your soft top cleaner every time, just clean it as you would the rest of your car.

Some people advise against using automated car washes, however, modern car washes are fairly gentle, and it is better to wash your car than leave it dirty.

What's most important is that you keep the weatherproof coating up to date. This makes it easier to clean and contains mould inhibitors which help prevent greening.

Most weatherproof coatings last six months. So ensure it is getting a good clean when this is applied. If you had us to do it with our two-year coating, you should still make sure it gets a good clean a couple of times a year.
