Can you re-glue my glass rear window?

If you have a glass rear window, and it is coming away from the hood, there is a very good chance you have an Audi. It is possible it's a Volkswagen, BMW or Mini, but this seems to be a problem that Audi are prone to.

Yes, it can be glued back in, it can be fixed. However, we have to ask why it fell out in the first place? Why is this a problem that Audi's are prone to?

It would seem evident that the design of the roof puts excessive stress on the bond, and whatever adhesive that was used at the factory wasn't strong enough. And if the factory can't get it right, then it stands to reason that if you gum it back together with any old window sealer, it will probably happen again in short order.

And so the solution to this problem is to take your car to Cayman Autos, where they will strip out the window and bond it back together using only the very strongest sealant.

We do know how to do this, but we specialize in cleaning and weatherproofing, minor repairs and leaks; Cayman Autos specialize in replacement and repairs, and even we defer to their superior expertise.

Wherever you get your hood repaired, ensure that they give you a 1-year warranty.
