Therefore, if you purchase a 5-year ceramic coating, then under average use, after 5-years it has lost half its protection. Is half the protection, adequate protection? It may be adequate, but it isn't optimal.
In order to keep your ceramic coating at optimal performance, you have a number of options. You can have it re-applied after 5-years, you could also use a top-up product every year. Alternatively, you could do anything in between. We would recommend keeping an eye on the condition of your car, having scuffs and scratches attended to and ensuring the coating is performing as it should. In other words, give it a top-up when it's needed or when it's convenient.
