Will a ceramic coating make dull paint shine?
In all likelihood, a ceramic coating would make dull paint slightly less dull, if you were to apply it over dull paint, which is something we would never do.
Any kind of coating will only seal in the paintwork you have, which is why it is important to prepare the car before application, which means polishing it to a high shine and correcting any defects in the paintwork, before the ceramic coating is put on the car.
If your car has dull paintwork, we would recommend having it professionally polished to remove oxidization. Once done, it will require some kind of protective coating to prevent it going dull in the future. A ceramic coating is ideal for this, but there are many other options.
