Do you do a free car leak inspection?
Quick answer: No — we don’t offer free car-leak inspections. We can take a brief look to confirm a leak, but finding the source needs a paid 28-point diagnostic with decontamination first (mould risk) and proof-testing (sonic sensors, coloured dye/ink, smoke, micro-cameras, moisture meters). It can take hours, especially after modifications or past repairs.
We do not do a free leak inspection. We might be able to have a brief look and tell if you have a leak, but discovering where the leak is coming from is a process that takes time, and may involve dismantling parts of the car to pinpoint the exact point of ingress.
We begin by making the vehicle safe because damp can lead to mould, and mould is a health hazard, so before we begin an inspection we decontaminate the vehicle with antifungal and antimicrobials. Only then can we begin to our 28 point check of all the places where cars normally leak, then check places your make and model of car are known to leak, and finally proofing the leak using special equipment such as sonic sensors, coloured ink, smoke/smoke, micro-cameras and moisture sensors.
Sometimes finding the leak can be difficult, especially if the leak is a result of modification or repairs and can take several hours. Therefore it is not possible for us to give free inspections.
