I can hear water sloshing around in my car door

This is mostly caused by blocked drainage holes at the bottom of the door.

The weather striping between the door panel and glass stops most of the water getting into the door, but not all of it. It is supposed to drain out of the bottom of the door. However, these holes can get blocked by dirt and debris, especially if you park under trees.

Pine needles can easily get in and block the holes, so can broken glass if you have ever had a broken window.

When the drainage holes become blocked, the door can fill with water, but it is a simple fix to unblock the holes. Poking a wire up the holes will quickly unblock them, but may not deal with the debris that caused the blockage. The best way to solve the problem is to remove the door car, and the door membrane and clean out the door properly, while ensuring that afterwards, you reseal or replace the door membrane.

If water is leaking inside the car, it is mostly likely because water is getting past the door membrane.
