Can a ceramic coating be applied outside?

Quick answer: Generally no - a ceramic coating should be applied indoors in a clean, controlled studio. Outside you can’t control dust, temperature or moisture; wind and dew can spoil flash-off and curing, so we only apply under cover and keep the car overnight to cure.

No, ceramic paint protection should not be applied outside. Ceramic coatings need to be applied under stable, controlled conditions so that they cure evenly. Variables like dust, rain, wind, humidity, sunlight, hot and cold, are not conducive to proper application.

After the coating is applied, it needs to remain inside until the coating has cured. Rain or dew could mark the coating until it has hardened.
