Can you ceramic coat my manifold?
Quick answer: No - not with the type of ceramic coating we use on paintwork. Exhaust manifolds run far too hot and need a completely different high-temperature ceramic treatment carried out off the car by a specialist engineering company.
It depends where on your vehicle the manifold is. If it's on the outside of your vehicle, the answer is yes.
However, we don't get involved in detailing engine compartments. That's a whole different market to the one we cater to. We aim our services at average people with average cars. There are other detailing companies out there that specialize in detailing every inch, inside and out, upside and down of custom, show and super cars. Ceramic coating manifolds is probably a job for them.
An exhaust manifold can reach temperatures of up to 1600ºf, and some ceramic coatings are resistant to 2000ºf, so they can certainly take the heat.
