Porsche 911 Carrera Polish & Ceramic Coating Video
Upon examination, this car had more scratches than initially thought, so we recommended a 4 stage machine polish.
The car was brought to us to be cleaned, detailed and ceramic coated. It had been done at the dealership, but the customer wasn't happy with the results.
The scratches are caused by improper washing of the vehicle by the previous owner, who probably took it to a hand car wash.
Our four stage polish is for cars just like this, with the first few stages using fairly coarse compound and buffing pads to trim away the top layer of damaged paint. The final two stages are far finer to remove buffer marks.
Next, we wipe down the car with alcohol to remove any of the oils from the polishing compound, which might hide micro-scratches. Once we are happy with the results, we are ready to apply the coating.
This Porsche was given a 5-year ceramic coating, Fireball Silla+, and also had Helios, a thick and flexible ceramic coating over the nose of the vehicle, this helps prevent road rash.
