This Mercedes SL500 underwent a full professional detailing service designed to restore its appearance and protect it for years to come. The process began with a thorough exterior wash, roof clean, and reproofing to safeguard the convertible top against the elements.

The paintwork, which had visible swirl marks, light scratches, and signs of previous work, was carefully polished in multiple stages. This involved a combination of cutting and refining to remove imperfections, restore depth of colour, and achieve a flawless high-gloss finish. Special attention was paid to problem areas, ensuring the surface was even and reflective under all lighting conditions.

Every detail was addressed, from cleaning intricate trim and panel gaps to removing dirt from hidden areas where grime often accumulates. The alloy wheels, already in good condition, were deep-cleaned and treated with a protective coating to guard against brake dust and road contaminants.

The full detailing package also included roof drainage flushing to keep the car’s water management systems clear, and the cleaning and conditioning of all rubber seals to help prevent leaks and extend their lifespan. The Full Monty package deal comes with a 3-stage polish, but as this was an older car with extensive swirl marks, we recommend the customer additionally purchase a fourth stage.
