Car Smart Repairs Video
An overview of Small to Medium Area Repair Techniques. Rather than Repair and Repaint at a body shop or replacement of parts, which is what insurance companies usually do.
If you are paying for repairs yourself, Smart Repairs are a cost-effective alternative which can give results which are just as good or even better when used appropriately.
Smart repairs are usually carried out on small and medium areas. Unfortunately this doesn't always mean a small bit of damage on a large area like a bonnet or roof, but instead damage on small areas like the corner of a bumper or a wing mirror which can be repainted in situ with minimal repair. Dents can be removed from most panels as long as they are not too severe, and repairs to seats, carpets and upholstery can be done if they are not in high wear areas such as the base of the seat.
In this video, we give an overview of the kind of repairs that can be done and those that are better addressed with other techniques such as midi-repair.
