Water Leaks Ceramic Coating | VW Camper Video
Initially this camper van came to us with some leaks, but while the vehicle was with us, and there was a special offer on, the customer decided to have a ceramic coating too.
Camper vans are not the kind of vehicle you trade in every three years, they are an investment which you are likely to hang onto for a while, and when you do come to sell they retain their value because they are highly sought after. So it pays to keep them well maintained and protected.
The best way to protect your exterior is with a ceramic coating, and Matrix Blue is a good solution. It is advertised as a 3-year coating, but we believe it lasts much longer and can be topped up, keeping it going indefinitely. Before the coating is applied, the paintwork is polished, marks from birds mess and scratches are removed to make the finish look as good as new.
The water leaks on this van were largely a result of its conversion to a camper from a VW Transporter, but it wasn't anything we couldn't solve. Being based on a van, it had heavy duty rubber floors instead of carpets with thick underlay, so there was no drying to do.
The customer had asked us if we could do anything about a large stain on the front seat, which we suspected might be permanent. However, we were able to completely remove it and this revealed just how dirty the seats were. Although the car didn't originally come to us with the intention of having any interior detailing, we ended up shampooing the seats, so by the end the car was detailed inside and out.
This video is made up of the clips we make when we book the car in so that we have a record of what the customer wants and any problems they have highlighted. The clips we sent the customer to keep them updated of progress and to show them any issues, and the end video we record of finished work. Although this customer ended up spending more than they originally intended, we kept them informed every step of the way, allowing them to make choices and in full control of what they spend.
