Jaguar XK Convertible | Roof Clean & Coating Video
This Jaguar XK Convertible is in to have the hood cleaned, and to have it weatherproofed with our 2-year nanocoating.
We admit it, there isn't much to show on this video. The hood wasn't very dirty when it came to us, at least not enough to notice on video. In addition to this, the hood has wear marks, and sadly we can't do much about that. Sometimes putting the hood protector on will sufficiently darken up the hood, so there's less contrast, and they show less. However, as the hood was sopping wet in the initial video, it already looked dark.
What we can see in that initial video is that all the windows are steamed up. If you get this in any car, chances are you have a leak somewhere. And in a convertible car, there is a good chance it is either leaking from the door rubbers or the drainage in the rear scuttle is blocked up with leaves and other debris.
When you have your convertible car cleaned and the hood reproofed, we highly recommend that the rubbers are refurbished with a product that makes them supple again, and that you allow us to clean out all the drainage. It costs a little extra, but it's worth it, and you won't have to put up with a car that smells like a swamp.
