VW Tiguan | Water Leak Repair
This car came to us full of water and with a terrible smell. It had already been to a garage but they had failed to find and fix the leaks.
We had a pretty good idea it was the sun roof which was rather large and had four drainage point. Over time, the silicone pipes can shrink and pop off their connectors, which is what happened in this case. Although it requires replacement parts, it isn't a difficult fix, but the more serious problem was the amount of water that was in the car and the bad odours it caused.
As you can see, by the time you notice your carpets are soggy, there is already a large amount of water in the car under the carpets. It would never dry on its own, the seats need to be removed, and the carpet lifted up, so the water can be sucked out and the drying process begun. Before we remove the water, we decontaminate the car with anti-microbial, so it can get in everywhere that got wet. This kills harmful mould and mildew and kills the smell. The water ingress also causes electrical issues and corrosion, so it is very important to get your car dried properly.
This car also had a scuff on the front bumper, on which we carried out a smart repair. It's a lovely car, so why not restore it to its former glory.
