Audi A3 Cabriolet Hood Restoration Video
In this video, you can see what happens if you try to clean a cabriolet hood with a pressure washer. It really doesn't work very well, and you end up with this zigzag pattern.
A pressure washer can damage the hood and these zigzags can end up as permanent scars on the hood.
Thankfully, in this case, they hadn't scored the fabric and once we cleaned the dirt out of the roof, they disappeared. We coated the roof in our two-year weather protector, flushed through the drains to prevent leaks, and revived all the rubber so that they make a good seal, again to keep the rain out.
We finished the car with an exterior detail and a good coat of wax, which is standard, as part of our convertible roof cleaning service.
