Paintwork Correction - Wet Sanding Video
This Rav4 has some fairly deep scratches which cannot be removed by just polishing alone, so a technique called wet-sanding is used where the clear-coat-paint is sanded back to reduce the scratch before polishing.
You can't always completely polish out deep scratches, but we still may be able to greatly reduce them, to the point where they are hard to notice. Polishing out scratches is far cheaper than the alternative, which is to respray the panel.
