This BMW is leaking through many of the places we would expect on a 22-year-old convertible, plus the heater matrix, which is a common problem on this model of car.
The drainage holes in the scuttle block up and then water can overflow back in through the bulkhead, a problem which can be exasperated by deterioration of the seals because of age.
Aside from that, we have both door membranes leaking and a modest amount of water getting in past the rubbers around the windows.
Solution: We will clean out the scuttle, unblock any holes and reseal the heater.
The door membranes will be replaced, and we will clean the rubbers and use a rubber reviver which will hopefully help them find their original shape and plump up again, so they form a good seal. This should be enough to solve this problem.
We dry the car, and then it's having some other work done to it which you will be able to see on our other channel.
