Cartec Ceramic Guard coating logo

Ceramic Guard is Cartec’s professional-grade ceramic coating -- the one at the top of their range, designed for specialist application only. At New Again, it goes on after full decontamination and machine polishing; the preparation is what the coating needs to bond correctly and perform as intended.

The SiCarbon+ formula substitutes carbon for oxygen in the siloxane chain -- a distinct chemistry from most ceramics, producing a denser final film after cure. Manufacturer-certified specialists only, with a structured warranty path for customers who want more than a verbal guarantee.

Is Ceramic Guard the right coating for you?

Ceramic Guard suits the customer who wants proven ceramic quality from a professional European brand, without the premium of graphene or diamond coatings. It works on any colour on any car in reasonable condition -- effective, manufacturer-certified, and straightforwardly priced. If you want a different chemistry from the Matrix range and a structured warranty path to go with it, this is a solid choice.

Ceramic Guard SiCarbon+

SiCarbon+ combines silicon dioxide chemistry with carbon-based reinforcement at a molecular level. The hybrid structure creates a tighter, more stable coating matrix than a standard SiO2 ceramic -- improving durability, chemical resistance, and surface smoothness. It bonds firmly to correctly prepared paintwork and maintains its protective properties under real-world driving and washing conditions. Cartec manufacture it; we apply it as certified specialists.

What Ceramic Guard delivers

  • Deep gloss finish -- Ceramic Guard enhances paint clarity and gloss, levelling the surface at a microscopic level so light reflects more evenly for a noticeably sharper appearance.
  • Hard chemical-resistant barrier -- once cured, the coating protects against environmental fallout, road film, and everyday contamination that would otherwise degrade the clear coat.
  • Hydrophobic surface -- strong water-repellent behaviour causes water and dirt to bead and sheet away, making routine washing quicker, safer, and less aggressive on the paint.

New Car Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Guard paint protection is ideal for new cars. We recommend you bring your car to us direct from the dealership before it can collect any scratches or imperfections; we will have less preparation to do and this is reflected in the price. However, we have our two-stage and four-stage machine polishing systems, so we can prepare and provide car paint protection for cars of any age as long as the paintwork is reasonably good.

Really pleased with the coating applied to the car. It certainly gives it that added bit of protection so if I do leave it longer than I should between washes it comes up great again. Great job.

We have been making cars like new again since 1987.

Ask how it compares with the others we apply, because the right coating depends on the car and how you use it.

Ceramic Guard -- Ceramic Coating FAQs

Will the coating stop stone chips or scratches?

No ceramic coating makes paint scratch-proof. Ceramic Guard reduces light wash marring and chemical damage but will not prevent stone chips or physical impact damage, though it may reduce their severity.

Does my car need polishing before application?

Yes. Proper paint preparation is essential. Polishing removes defects and ensures the coating bonds correctly to the paint.

How long does Cartec Ceramic Guard last?

Cartec guarantees 3 years. In real-world use, coatings usually outlast the official warranty. Performance will taper with time and washing, but protection remains. Use the approved top-up product periodically to refresh gloss and extend durability almost indefinitely.

How often will I need to wash my car?

Typically about half as often as before. Dirt sticks less, so wash when it looks like it needs it. For best results, use a self-service pressure washer and pH-neutral shampoo, then dry with a clean microfibre.
