First time visit to New Again Auto for an End-Of-Lease car inspection. Tom and Harry provided an A-class professional and honest service and kept me in the loop at every step of the process. Would 100% recommend this team for any car works related issue. Thanks again lads!
My Leased car is due to be returned at the end of April and on previous lease returns I have been hammered with large costs for all sorts of minor issues, Although the lease company send you a document explaining the "fare wear and tear" rules they are at best vague, leaving it to your own interpretation that are usually wrong. It is not just about what you must get repaired but just as much about what you don't need to get repaired etc. So i scoured the web to find a company that would carryout a pre-lease inspection for me based on the BVRLA guidelines. The ONLY place i could find was "New Again" in Chelmsford, Essex. After emailing and speaking to Gary and his team on the subject i decided it was worth taking the risk and driving the ~4 hours round trip journey for them to carryout the inspection. I am so glad i did !!!! Gary firstly explained how the BVRLA work and some of their directives that are not told to you from your lease companies, What i liked about the Pre-Inspection is that "New Again" include you completely in the review so you understand exactly what the inspector is likely to say and look for. After the inspection we then discussed what "must be done" what "should be done" & what "does not need to be done". New Again, has all the facilities to carryout most of the repairs, there and then, on their premises, so I left the car with Gary and the team for a couple of hours whilst i went into town for some lunch. 2 hours later i returned and the car was ready. As part of the service you get a full recorded video of the initial findings with scratch and dent measurements and after the repairs you get another Video showing what was done and what was left (either because it fell into the "fare wear and tear" category or the job was too big for "New again" to carryout (although this was not an issue in my case). That said I did have a distinctive bulge in one of my tyre's that would have failed the inspection and BVRLA Guidelines say the Tyre's need to be Like for Like and on my car that would have been at least £250. Gary made a call to another local business where they sell "partly worn" Tyres and managed to reserve me the exact same tyre for £70. The prices charged by "New Again" for removing the chips and scratches that needed to be done was open transparent and at a very fare price and tbh was far less than i thought it was going to be (and at a fraction of the cost of what the lease company would have charged me). Whereas, due to the nature of Lease return inspections and different interpretations of the standard Gary could not guarantee that my lease company will not charge me for what was left (this was made very clear to me on numerous occasions), however, with all the videos and photos "New Again" have provided me of my actual car's damage including the BVRLA Checklist it will be very hard for the inspectors to find anything they can charge me for; especially as I now have documented evidence on the exact state of my car on when i returned it. Obviously i am going to give "New Again" 5 stars based on this review but please do look at these 5 Stars as being "Gold Stars" - Thanks Gary and team at "New Again" for your outstanding service and I look forward to seeing you shortly before my next lease renewal.

We visited for an "End of lease inspection" and I would recommend anyone with a lease car to use this service. Gary is kind and very keen to offer help and advice. Our inspection was incredibly informative and Gary then signposted us to an amazing body shop to complete the large repairs. I called and spoke to Gary again today and he has really put my mind at ease with getting some of the final work sorted. Very accommodating and high quality workmanship! I will be returning to New Again without hesitation.

Never again will I return a lease car without having it inspected by these guys first. In the past I have been charged up to 600 for things that I hadn't even spotted. This time I've saved myself a small fortune by following their advice and some minor and very reasonably priced work undertaken by them. Rather than just take my money (like most firms do) they also advised me what I didn't need to spend money on and by referring me to a body shop for the work they feel needed more specialized attention. I knew when getting a car on a lease I'd have to keep it in good condition but it looked terrible towards the end. I knew this would cost me a lot when I took it back and that is when someone told me about New Again. Their lease repair is first class. Gary and his team did an amazing job on my car. Their immense knowledge of lease vehicle returns resulted in me not having to pay a penny to my leasing company. I highly recommend New Again and James Dyas for his professional lease car inspection back in January on our i30. We were able to save hundreds on repairs by avoiding repairs which he correctly assessed as being unnecessary to repair or more expensive to repair than pay the chargebacks. Thanks a load James!
I took my car down for a PCP return inspection, a smart repair and to have some light scratches buffed out the paint work. Would have no issues in recommending to others and using New Again for other cars I have.<br />Gary as you put it... MUSTARD
I took my car in for a pre-inspection before I sent it back at the end of my lease. They were so helpful, knowledgeable and no nonsense. They told me what might come up and what I might be charged for, and gave me the information so I could make a decision on what I could fix and what I would leave. Couldn't recommend them enough.
If you want it done right - you are at the right place The set-up at New Again from owner Gary down to guy on the till is top class - very experienced team with a passion for resolving any issues confronted with whilst keeping the clients' budget in mind when advising. Very rare that a business exists like this in 2021.
The repairs we did decide to do were good and the price reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend this lease return inspection.

Had a first lease return inspection from Gary in September 2018 and true to his word the car passed on all small scratches and condition. I had two minor scratches repaired on site which potentially saved me over £100. Would definitely recommend their expertise and will return to them when my current lease ends.
