Why do cars need to be polished?
Every time you wash your car, the fine layer of dirt which covers the paintwork will cause light abrasions as you try to remove it. Car Polishing FAQs
Will polishing my car remove all the scratches?
Not always. Deep scratches can’t be fully polished out, but machine polishing will remove light scratches and soften deeper ones by rounding off sharp edges that catch the light. The result is a dramatic overall improvement. We don’t chase perfection — instead, we aim for the best possible finish without unnecessary cost.
I had my car machine polished elsewhere, and now it looks awful. Why?
This is often down to using rotary polishers that leave behind micro-scratches, known as buffer marks. At first, waxes and fillers hide them, but as those products evaporate, the marks reappear. We avoid this by using random-orbital polishers, progressively finer compounds, and careful inspection under alcohol wipe-downs. That way, the finish stays flawless even after coatings are applied.
Why do you polish brand-new cars?
Even “new” cars usually aren’t perfect. They may have been test-driven, washed a few times, or sat on a forecourt, picking up light marks. Fresh factory paint also has microscopic texture. Polishing smooths the surface and enhances the shine, giving true clarity before any protective coating is applied.
Can polishing remove bird dropping stains?
Often, yes — but it depends on how deep the etching has gone. Bird droppings are highly corrosive, and the acids can sink deep into the paint. Quick removal is crucial. We recommend keeping a bird-dropping remover or neutraliser in your car for emergencies, as prevention is always best.
Why are you recommending polishing when my car looks fine?
Because what you can’t easily see is still dulling the finish. Micro-scratches and oxidization cause a cloudy haze that reduces gloss. Once polished, the difference in depth of shine and colour clarity is unmistakable — most customers are surprised by how much better their car looks.

Someone threw a plastic bottle with water inside at my car when I was driving - result scuffs and dent to bonnet, autoprotect would not deal with flat surfaces on bonnet - New Again resolved scuffs and found another dent, although difficult to get to dent (they even found another one) managed to remove dents and polish out 90% of scuffs, almost invisible to the naked eye, looks great, charged a fair and reasonable price, quick repair.
