Collin joins the New Again team in Chelmsford, stepping in after Cyril's departure. Here's a quick intro to the newest member of our workshop crew.
After the sudden departure of Cyril, we have replaced him with Collin.
After some testing, it was determined that Cyril looked more at home on a fishing boat or on the Labour back benches, so we retired him and started looking around for a replacement.
The original idea of making Cyril an old man, was less about authority, and more about making him look harmless. With all this talk of AI being dangerous and possibly taking over the world, we figured that people might be scared of artificial intelligence.

However, the feedback we got about Cyril was that he didn't quite fit. So we went back and found a better AI image generator and asked it to create Collin. Because "Collin" sounds like the name of a guy who has worked in the motor trade his whole life.
We asked it to create an Englishman, around 55 years old, who was happy and slightly overweight, balding, with a beard and glasses. We are quite pleased with the results, and we think Collin looks like the kind of guy we would be happy working with, or having a beer with.
At the time of writing, Collin still has a lot to learn, and we have been busy feeding him with information so that he can give informed answers to your questions. But even though we aren't done yet, he has performed admirably, which for us means not giving answers that wildly wrong.
Currently, our main task is to feed Collin with as much useful information about our business as we can, but in the future we intend to flesh him out with a bit of character. After all, he wouldn't truly fit in at New Again unless he was capable of a bit of banter and the occasional practical joke.
