The main problem with this car is the rear air vents, which is common on all cars of this age. We recommend replacing the vents with new ones and sealing them properly into place.
James shows how water ends up in the footwell from the point of ingress at the back of the car. Water always ends up at the lowest point, so it isn't unusual for wet carpets in the front of the car to be caused by leaks at the back.
We recommend replacing the vents with new ones and sealing them properly into place.
There is also an issue with a cable which has been run under the rubber so that the rubber cannot form a proper seal. This will be a problem unique to this car, as it's caused by an improper repair. So that's another one for the album.
Once the leaks are fixed, the car can be decontaminated and dried.
