SEAT Leon Copa Part 2 | Leaking Doors & Screen

Testing the front screen shows that there is a leak in the welded seam for the windscreen surround.

Unfortunately, we don't know how far that crack goes up, or if water draining behind the screen flows over it. Without removing the screen, it is hard to know. So our best option is to remove as much trim as we can and seal what we can, then re-test it for leaks. If it is still leaking, the screen will need to be removed to gain access.

A crack in the weld does NOT mean the whole car is falling apart. The car is constructed with spot welding which is not waterproof, so in order to make it so, the welds are sealed with a putty. Over time, this putty hardens and can crack.
