About Car Water Leaks Found Videos

Alongside this knowledge base we run a YouTube channel called Car Water Leaks Found, where we film real inspections and repairs from the workshop. The clips also appear on our Found Videos index on this site.

The videos sit alongside the written articles for a reason. Watching a blocked scuttle overflow, or a sunroof drain pop off its connector, conveys more than any description can. The channel covers the everyday cases we see most often, not rare one-offs.

What the videos show

  • Real inspections on customer cars, usually before we quote for repair.
  • Smoke, fluorescent dye and ultrasonic testing in practice.
  • The path water takes once inside the car -- trough, pollen filter housing, passenger footwell.
  • What a properly replaced drainage pipe or door membrane looks like.

We do not publish step-by-step DIY guides in the videos for the same reasons we do not publish them in writing (see Why don't you tell us how to fix it?). The channel is there so owners can see the scope of the work before committing, and so fellow trades can understand the problem properly.
