Fiat 500 convertible with a very dirty light-coloured hood -- came up like new. Customer chose 6-month coating rather than 2-year; still good result for a light-coloured roof heading into winter.
Light-coloured convertible hoods show staining and dirt much more than black hoods -- this Fiat 500 was very dirty and had clearly not been cleaned in some time. After a thorough clean with mechanical brushes and high-volume hot water rinse, it came up like new.
The customer chose the 6-month coating rather than the 2-year. The 6-month does not darken the hood as much or give as thick a finish as the 2-year, but it has still done a very good job of evening out the tone and giving the roof a hydrophobic coating for the winter. The car is now set: the water rolls off rather than soaking through, which prevents the hood staying soggy and slows regrowth of any organic matter.
We recommend cleaning regularly and an occasional professional clean and reproof to keep on top of it.
