Ford campervan with both headlights completely misted -- MOT fail and dangerous at night. One side had additional Dremel damage from a DIY attempt. Done by hand. Six-stage cut and polish, Matrix Blue 3-year ceramic applied.
This Ford campervan arrived with both headlights completely misted -- bad enough to fail an MOT, and dangerous at night. One of them had an additional problem: the customer's son had watched a YouTube video and tried to polish the lens using a Dremel with a sanding attachment. He had burned grooves into the plastic in several places.
The machine-damaged lens had to be done entirely by hand. A rotary machine on a lens in that state would have made things worse; hand work with progressively finer abrasives was the only way to address each groove individually before bringing the surface back to clarity. Both lenses went through a six-stage cut and polish process.
The result: completely clear headlights, ceramic-coated with Matrix Blue 3-year coating to protect the restored surface from UV and keep it clear. The customer will be able to see where he is going again.
