A Bentley Turbo R belonging to a friend who runs a body shop -- polished back to mirror finish and finished with a nano ceramic coating. Gary's quick showcase of the result.
One of our business friends dropped this Bentley Turbo R off -- he owns a body shop and said it could do with a bit of a polish. It ended up getting the full treatment: a machine polish back to mirror finish, then a ceramic nano-coating on top. Gary's showing it off here just after it came out of the workshop.
Why Polish Before Coating
Ceramic coatings go on like a lacquer and cure glass-hard. Whatever is under the coating stays there permanently -- which means any swirl marks, light scratches or oxidation are locked in. We machine polish every car before coating, including new ones, to get the paintwork as close to flawless as we can. The Bentley came in needing more work than a new car would, so the polishing stage took longer -- but the result is a surface that looks new and is now properly protected.
Does It Make Sense on a Used Car
Yes -- as long as the paintwork can be polished up to a high standard first. A used car costs more to prepare than a new one because there is more to correct, and that is reflected in the price. But on a car like this, or honestly on any car you plan to keep, the coating pays back. It stays cleaner for longer, is easier to wash, and holds its finish in a way that wax and traditional sealants simply do not.
If you bring a new car to us quickly after collection, the preparation is minimal and the cost is lower -- the paintwork is already in the best condition it will ever be in.
