A follow-up on the previous video shows the car with the seats out and the carpets raised so we can see the water underneath.
James is fogging the car with a disinfectant, but through the fog, you can see there is a puddle of water in the floor pan. This is why it is so important to get the carpets up and dry the car properly. The car already smells of mould, and we can see some corrosion on the bolts at the front of the footwell. Many electrical systems run underneath the carpets, and water can get into these and cause problems.
As can be seen, we re-routed the wiring and used a proper grommet to make it waterproof.
