0:00 Right, OK, so now we've got the front up in the air, we can now test the rear sunroof drains. So we're going to go back up to the cassette, and the little gap there, we're going to pour water in this little area here, because that's the recess, and then that should run down to the back of the car, because we've got the front lifted, and then it should exit at the bottom of the rear bumper.

0:25 So if we jump out, so we can see there's no water coming out from under the rear bumper, but you can still see it coming out of the front. So it's backing itself up. So we are obviously advised getting them unblocked and cleaning the cassette out and flushing all of the drains. And then it's a case of, we need to get the seats out so we can get the carpet up in the air.

0:50 We also recommend an Odour-kill for, wipe all surfaces, because there is a bit of a smell in the car. When the carpet is up as well, we are UVA fog it underneath so it decontaminates it. Another thing as well, obviously we suck out much water as we can. We need to get it dry. One reason being is the smell, as you can smell in the mould. No mould in this one as of yet. And also it can cause you electrical problems, and obviously water and electrics don't go together. So that's why we're about to put

Upon testing the sunroof, it was found there was no rear drainage, almost certainly because the drainage pipes are blocked with dirt and debris, causing the cassette to fill up.

What can happen is although some of the water can drain away using the front pipes, water is left sitting in the cassette, which is a tray the sunroof mechanism sits in. And then when you drive away, the water slops over the edge of the tray.

We recommend unblocking the pipes and flushing them through. This should fix the problem because in a car of this age, it is unlikely they have shrunk or perished.

Water in the car has caused a damp smell which indicates mould, so the car will need to be decontaminated, and an odour treatment applied, as well as drying the car.
