0:00 Ok guys, here we have a BMW 5 series 15 plate coming for our water leak procedure. It originally came in with the passenger rear footwell wet, so we're just going to show you what we've found. So what I've done is I've took a few plastics out of the passenger to this side, just so obviously we can get access to underneath the carpet. So as you can see there, and obviously what we are doing is we're putting a bit of hose down the scuttle area, so we can
0:29 see there's debris down the scuttle area, which is sometimes a common problem as well. And but this is another fault with the BMW we're just going to show you. And when they're designing these cars, they decide if they're going to make them a right-hand drive or a left-hand drive. When they work out what they're going to make them, they put a blanking plate in the other side. So if we just show you here. So we've got all of the thick underlay up on the BMW, so if I give that
0:54 squeeze, we can see that's absolutely soaking wet. And the reason being is the culprit up there is the little blanking plate. And as you can see on the bottom of the blanking plate, it's now starting to let water in. And so now what that's now doing is it's coming down here, as you can see, and then gets to this point, and then it will channel its way into this area. And if I just give that a little bit of a swash, so you can see how much water is sitting underneath the
1:24 carpet. And also we have this power cable which is laying in the water, which could cause us obviously issues. And if we just look up on the inside there, you can see how many electrics and ECUs and fuse boxes we have up there. And so obviously what it's done is it's coming through the front and then it slowly made its way back, all the way back into the footwell. And just to show you, customers put a few sponges down there, but you can see that it's very heavily soaked. And so
1:54 So if I just push that, you can see how much water's there. So it is a common problem, but we're gonna get that one sorted, get it all dry for the customer and get it back to him.
