0:00 Okay, we have a Lexus in today, a RX400H Hybrid, for our water leak procedure. So we're just going to show you what we've found so far. Concentrating on the front sunroof drains, a very common problem on this model of car. So what we've got is we've got the torch down here, and we're going to be focusing on behind these cables, and we can see that there's a hole here and there's a run mark. Now this is the indication and which is causing this water to be in the
0:32 footwell. And so I believe what they suffer with is drainage blockage. And so what we're going to do is we're going to put a bit of water down and the sun roof pipe. And so what we do is we just fill up this cassette, obviously we'll put the water in here, and there's no water coming out from the bottom of the arch where it should be, but we can see the water pooling in here. And if I just move this cable out the way. Okay, so we can see that it's
1:12 running in just behind these cables, and so it's running in here and then filling up this section here. And they're normally due to there's a blockage in this area here, so it blocks here and then it backs up on itself and then works its way in. So that's that water there. It's wet in the driver's front, and it's wet in the passenger front as well and the passenger back, but it seems to be drying the driver's rear. Then coming on to the back, and what we're going to do is we've got our twisted
1:46 camera up here, and we've got a bumper support clip which seems to be leaking, which we will show you in a second. And if we look underneath there, we've got your rear air vent and obviously the ventilation for the car. And so what we're going to do is we're just going to go and put the hose on. Okay, so we've got the hose up behind the rear bumper, just simulating it's out in the rain, and we'll look at the clip first of all. And so we can see that there's water coming in through that clip, so that needs to be
2:18 taken off and resealed. And what that's actually doing is it's filling up here, and then what it then does is it then works its way towards the front of the car, so that then corresponds it going into the passenger rear footwell. Unfortunately it will be running down past the hybrid on the left hand side, so we could do with obviously getting that all nice and dry. And if we just have a quick look at the air vent now, we can see on the left hand side it's letting
2:44 in water, and then it's then running off at the bottom and then collecting in the bottom of the foot of, the bottom of the box section. And so there's two leaks in that back section. There's no leaks in the driver's rear section except before. If we look very closely, someone has put two wires through a grommet hole, and obviously you're getting a flick up from the road. So that's just obviously someone being silly.
3:10 They've just put two of these grommets, only one should go through there. So that's that one there. And I'm just going to get set up, and we're going to go up and we're going to show you these rear welded seams in here. The only problem is we will have to lift this roof bar up to take out the old sealant, and then clean them, scotch them up and then reprime them.
3:30 Normally you've got these ones here as well as you have these ones here, but these ones don't look too bad. It's just these ones up the top which are giving us the problem on both sides. So this just quickly show you: dry hand underneath the passenger rear seat, give it a nice big squeeze, we've got moisture on our hand there, so it's very wet under the passenger rear. And on the passenger front, if we just fill this carpet here, it's all damp. So it's not waterlogged like the back, but it's very damp
