0:00 Okay, we've got a Mini Countryman in today for our water leak procedure. So just to show you, we have water in the driver's front footwell. So as you can see, if I just push down there, we can see how wet that is. If we come to the driver's rear, it's a bit more visible.
0:19 So as we can see there, it's saturated. And the underlay on this is quite thick, it's about this thick. So there's quite a lot of water under the driver's side. So we're just going to show you a few things to begin with. First things first with the door rubbers. The door rubbers are not actually bonded to the car, and so as you can see they're nice and dry. On this one around here, if we pull this back it's very loose, and but we can also see that someone's put a cable around here, and you can see that
0:52 that is wet and it's got dirt on it. So what it's doing is the water's coming around here, then going around here, then looping down, and then running itself down. So that would be one. As you can see, we can see that there's evidence of water inside that rubber there. And so obviously the cable needs to be taken out and the rubbers need to be bonded to the car; it's like that on all of them. And if we come around to the driver's side, drivers tailgate rubber, exactly the
1:25 same, and it's just loose, so that can cause water to obviously use that as a slide and come down. Onto the passenger side, same again with the rubbers, so we've got this rubber here. So as we can see, there's no sealant behind them. Now same again on this one, so that one pulls off very easy. So we're advised to obviously stick them back to the car. And also we know that there's a very common problem with these Minis, these front covers, the A-pillar covers, and they
2:11 have little washers behind there which tend to perish. So we would advise obviously taking them off and putting new rubber gaskets on there and get that one all sorted. And then the last one is the rear air vent. So if we go around here, we've got a little twisty camera here, so if I turn this on a second, and then we want to go into this little hole down here, and we can see on the screen that there's water passing through, and then it's filling up into this
2:45 box section at the bottom. And so the light bits on that air vent are where it's leaking through. And so I believe that's everything we've found so far on this one here. And so there we go, and obviously to take the seat out and get it completely dry. And the reason being is because obviously you can cause yourself electrical problems, you can smell like a mouldy smell, and also you can obviously get mould as well. So obviously we'll take the seat out, lift the carpet up,
